Inter University and College Indoor Games Competition-2022 was held on Saturday. The competition was organized by Entrepreneurial Economist Club of Entrepreneurial Economics Department of Dhaka School of Economics, a constituent institution of Dhaka University.
Students of famous universities of the country participated in total 12 games including Chess, Carrom, Ludu, Dartboard.
During the closing ceremony, the distinguished economist Dr. Kazi Khalikuzzaman Ahmad was present as the chief guest. Dilu Khandkar, sports editor of private television channel 24, former footballer of Bangladesh national football team Abdul Ghaffer and former cricketer of Bangladesh national cricket team Sanwar Hossain were present as special guests.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Economist Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbub Ali who is a Coordinator of Entrepreneurial Economics Department. In the speech of the chief guest, economist Dr. Kazi Khalikuzzaman Ahmad said that the activities of the Department of Entrepreneurial Economics will play a major role in the country's economy in the coming days. He also expressed hope that the Department of Entrepreneurial Economy will play an effective role in eliminating the disparity between the rich and the poor. Meanwhile, the special guests appreciated that the Department of Entrepreneurial Economy is keeping pace with the government's employment creation program.
Entrepreneurial Economics four year undergraduate course in Bangladesh is working tirelessly to eliminate the problem of unemployment in the country. And the students of this department are becoming successful in the job market as well as starting their own business, said the coordinator of this department, Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbub Ali.
Besides, actor Majnun Mizan was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony. Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurial Economics Department Rehana Parveen, Assistant Professor Sara Tasnim and Executive Editor of Bangladesh Post Shiabur Rahman Shihab were present as special guests. Lecturer Shamim Ahmed was present as the guest of honour. And the opening ceremony was presided over by Club President Ummun Nahar Azmi and vote of thanks was delivered by Club General Secretary and The Daily Global Nation Editor Mahbubur Rahman.
