Finland, a member state of the European Union, has various legal immigration procedures. Daisnews24.com provides information needed to immigrate to this country.

A Schengen visa is required to come to Finland on a short-term visa. But in this report we highlight the legitimate ways of long-term immigration to Finland.

student visa

A student visa is required to study in Finland for more than 90 days. A residence permit for the duration of the study period must be applied for after arriving in Finland after obtaining a visa by applying through the embassy. This permit is usually issued for two years. But if the period of study is less than two years, the period of this permit is also reduced.

But a person cannot apply for permission to stay as a student while the application for political asylum is pending. A person facing a deportation or extradition order cannot apply for a student visa.

Students must demonstrate when applying that they have enough money to live in Finland. It is possible for them to pay at least 560 euros per month, proof of this must be shown at the time of application.

Finland, a minimum salary is required. The employment letter must state that the salary paid for the job is sufficient for the visa applicant to live on.

Finland requires a minimum salary of 12,000 euros per capita per year for a work permit. But this number is different for each person. Click on  this link to know the complete 'Income Requirement' or Income Structure of Finland .

Family reunion

If a close family member lives in Finland with a residence permit, their family members can apply for a long-term residence visa under family reunification. But in this case, a family member (or 'sponsor') resident in Finland cannot apply for this visa. Ab edankari has to perform this duty himself. The family members who can apply under this section are:

- husband or wife,

- Registered partner or partner,

- cohabiting partner,

- a person responsible for the care of a minor child,

- children

In most cases, obtaining a visa under this category requires the sponsor to provide proof of financial status, so that the sponsor's annual income falls within the income limits set by the government.

political asylum

Asylum applications in Finland can be made from within Finnish territory. It is not possible to arrive in Finland after applying for asylum in advance.

The asylum application process for adults is slightly different from the application process for minors. A lawyer and a social worker are appointed by the Finnish authorities during the asylum application interview for minors.

Other reasons include: remigration, asylum as a victim of human trafficking

Persons with prior ties to Finland or persons of Finnish nationality or persons who served in the Finnish military between 1939 and 1945 may obtain a long-term visa to Finland under remigration or resettlement.

In addition, victims of human trafficking can obtain a temporary residence permit in Finland.
